Design Components for Custom Closets

Your closet should have a sense of beauty & order

Consider these design components to include when designing a closet

Build floor to ceiling to utilize the entire wall space. Consider mix matching the components (shelf colors, drawer faces), crown & floor molding, or panel backing

Consider the feature wall you face when you enter the room & how you want it to look

Add a custom fit vanity table with good lighting to do hair & makeup & to keep hair tools & makeup essentials organized. This is ideally placed at the feature wall with a custom sized mirror fit to that wall space to make the room feel bigger

Add an island with a bench to create extra storage, a countertop to fold, and a place be able to sit

Be bold with color finish & hardware. Brass hardware always elevates a space

Add a combination of pull out trays, wire baskets & velvet drawers for jewelry

Consider shoe storage and a combination of slanted shelves, flat shelves, & cubbies for flat sandles/flip flops, and don’t forget boots & the height of shelves required for them

Light up shelves with one switch, and definitely add a chandelier statement piece

Add decor or mix artwork in shelves such as frames, objects, oversized books, & jewelry trays

Add a fun animal print rug or shag rug to give that extra cozy feel & thoughtful design touch

Wallpaper on the ceiling is always the right move to elevate the space
